Clarence Wilbur
White
Jul 2, 1965 — May 5, 2026
Rest In Peace
Clarence White, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather,
passed away May 5 th , 2026, at 60 years old. He was a man who lived life with
passion, hard work, and deep love for his family and horses.
Born July 2 nd , 1965, in the Los Angeles General Hospital and raised in Huntington
Park, California, to Barbara and Clarence White Sr., He enjoyed a vibrant
childhood filled with sports at Roosevelt Park alongside his two brothers David
and Rashad and two sisters Valerie and Veronica. Everyone knew him as
Skipper, a nickname given to him by his grandfather at an early age. Those early
years instilled in him a lifelong love of athletics and the value of family bonds. As
a young adult, he moved to Compton, where he raised his five sons Raymond,
Jesse, Richard, Mario, and Margarito while stabling and grooming horses on the
side. His connection to horses was more than a hobby, it was a calling that
shaped much of his life.
A skilled Union Carpenter with a remarkable 30-year career, Clarence
contributed to some of Los Angeles' most iconic infrastructure. He proudly
worked on every major stadium and freeway in the region, leaving a lasting mark
on the city he called home. His craftsmanship, dedication, and attention to detail
were clear in everything he built.
Later in life the year of 2006, Clarence realized a long-held dream when he
bought property in Perris, California. There, he moved his family to their own
ranch, where they continued to stable and groom horses. Together with his
beloved wife, he fulfilled his ultimate goal: racing professional Quarter Horses at
Los Alamitos Racetrack. The thrill of the track, the care of the animals, and the
shared successes with his wife brought him immense joy.
Above all, Clarence cherished his family. He is survived by his wife Cathy,
daughter, five sons, 19 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He found his
greatest happiness in family gatherings with his siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Watching and playing sports, also spending time with his animals. His stories, his
work ethic, and his love for the outdoors will live on in everyone who knows him.
Clarence will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
Pops,
It hurt me that I could not be by your side at the end. I am thankful and grateful
we got to talk on the phone every day, because I finally got the real
understanding of what you been telling me my whole life and it was because you
wanted me to be the best person I could be and to live a righteous life. Even
when I was hardheaded and stubborn to understand you never gave up on me or
anybody. You were all real a father, grandfather brother, and friend to everyone
that knew you. I will never forget the phone calls we had and everything you said
I love you dad
Mario
To My Dad,
My days aren't the same without getting a phone call from
you. My laughter isn't the same without hearing your crazy
jokes. One thing will always remain the same and that is
the love, gratitude, and respect I will always have for you. I
can hear your voice with every decision, positive or
negative thought that comes in my mind and how you
would advise me to go about it. I remember every walk to
the store, every drive to my practices/ games and to
school. You always meant what you said and said what
you meant. Thinking back at every lesson you've given me
and my brothers it was 100% biblical without you ever
saying that is was the word of God, ironically or
intentionally it was the truth. Love and honor your parents,
respect your elders and treat others how you'd like to be
treated ,with love.
"That's it and that's all."
Your son, Richard
